Barnham Trojans FC

About
Barnham Trojans FC was founded in 1976 primarily by Mr Fred Bashford and a few like minded friends, to enable a small group of local children to play football. Since that time the club has rapidly expanded to a current membership of over 160 local children. Our players come mainly from within the Six Villages area, but we do have some from further afield, including Tangmere, Chichester, Bognor and Petworth.

Whilst the club has increased in size, we have maintained our local community spirit and are a very friendly and approachable club. Over the years we have had our fair share of glory, with teams winning various league and county cups, and we hope this will continue. We have also had some of our players go on to train and play for county and semi-professional clubs.

The success of the club is due to the hard work and dedication of the players, team managers and their assistants, and the club officials who all give their time on a voluntary basis; something which sometimes gets forgotten by parents!

Our plans for the future are simple; we aim to continue to grow and provide the opportunity for sport to the youth of the local community.

Barnham Trojans FC achieved FA Charter Standard in September 2006, which means all the Managers/Coaches are qualified level 1 or higher coaches and have undertaken Child Protection Courses, as well as being CRB checked.
