Through the main entrance we have noticeboards all along the entrance and corridor designated to our user groups for advertising and information. All regular user groups can request a space on these boards.
We have a large hall, meeting room, snooker room and lounge bar. The Centre also includes toilet facilities including disabled and baby changing. We also have a community kitchen off the main hall, and a storage and back stage area.
The hall has a capacity of 120 people seated and 200 standing. We have a good number of tables in three different sizes and a large number of chairs. The solid wood floor is hard wearing and suitable for many activities. The stage includes a black backdrop curtain and spot lights. Thanks to the Big Lottery Fund, the hall is equipped with a data projector for presentations and slideshows. We also have a PA system with wireless lapel microphone and a hearing loop for those with hearing aids that can be switched to the T position. In addition the Social Club also has a full DJ system available for hire. The system includes CD players or you can connect your MP3 player with your own playlists.
The hall is available to hire during weekday sessions for £12.50 per hour. Saturdays are considered premium rate and booked by evening, afternoon and evening or all day session. Discounts apply to members of our user groups and the parish of Aldingbourne. Currently the hall is available on Saturday afternoons, two Saturday evenings a month, two Monday evenings a month and three Tuesday evenings a month. All other sessions are booked by our User Groups. Please check our Bookings Calendar for availability.
Please note that hirers are not allowed to bring Alcohol without prior permission from the ACSC Trustees for a specific reason such as champagne. Alcohol is available by hiring the Social Club Stage Bar. Please note that we do not generally allow 18th birthday parties due to risks of underage drinking however we may make an exception if these risks can be mitigated.
Available to all hirers, our community kitchen includes a catering specification fridge and large cooker and oven. We have a dual sink with separate wash basin.
A catering urn is also available.
The Meeting Room
We have a good sized meeting room available with a large conference table seating up to 10 people. The room is equipped with a 32″ LCD screen for presentations. A full colour photocopier is also available on request. The room is available for £10 per session. Please see our Bookings Calendar for availability.
The Snooker Room
We have an excellent well maintained snooker table with full range of equipment.
The snooker room is currently used in the mornings and some afternoons by our local Snooker Club. On Friday evenings the room is used as the home table for the Aldingbourne Snooker Club. On all other evenings the room is available via the Social Club. Non-members are welcome but first must sign in to the Social Club and pay a £1 guest fee. The table lights run for 30 minutes per 50 pence.
The room is generally unavailable to members of the public during weekdays except to the Snooker Club. However please contact us if you are interesting in using the room such as for an after school junior snooker club please contact us.
The Lounge Bar
The lounge is home to the Social Club through the weekend and weekday evenings. It can be made available during the day for specific events however we cannot hire it out regularly due to the disruption to the Social Club (cleaning for example).
The hall is available to hire subject to availability. Our hall with it’s stage bar is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and christenings. Members of the parish of Aldingbourne can also book the hall and bar on a weekday afternoon free of charge for Wakes, subject to availability.
The Outside Grounds
Outside is home to our resident user groups the Aldingbourne & District Bowls Club, Aldingbourne & District Target Shooting Club, Aldingbourne Tennis Club and Bognor Regis Model Railway Club along with the Barnham Signal Box Trust.
The field is primarily used for football under a long term agreement with Barnham Trojans. If you are interested in hiring the outside areas such as the football pitches please contact Barnham Trojans FC. We have changing facilities available, including the soon to be completed officials area kindly being renovated with assistance from the Bognor Regis Model Railway Club as part of their work refurbishing our previously dilapidated storage barn.
Because the field is used for junior football, we require dogs to be kept on leads at all times. Dog fouling on our grounds is an offence and penalty fines will be enforced. Failure to abide by the dogs on leads rule may result you in being banned from bringing your dog to the Centre.
The children’s playground is now the responsibility of the Aldingbourne Parish Council.
