About the Club
Aldingbourne and District Bowls Club has been based on the site at Olivers Meadow for over 35 years, during thattime Bowls has become a more modern game with lots of variation and challenges.We are a small club with a mixture of members and abilities but whose aim is toenjoy bowls and the camaraderie the club brings.
People tend to think it is a game for 'old' people, we canassure you it is not, although there is a tendency for olderand young retired people to play during the day it is alsovery popular with the younger generation who like atactical, challenging, social game.
At Aldingbourne we have an all-weather surface whichmeans that we can play outside all year round, but forthose who do not wish to face the colder weather we havethe benefit of two short mats to play indoors.Type your paragraph here
Members have the benefit of playing whenever they wish either as part of an officialRoll Up, or just socially with friends or to practice on their own. We are fully accessibleand are registered with Disability Bowls England. There is coaching available as wehave three registered Coaches within the clubType your paragraph here
We play in West Sussex Bowls League, (Men atpresent) and the Brooks Motor League which is amixed friendly local league, we also have interclubfriendly games and internal competitions. You can beas competitive (or not) as you wish, we have anexcellent social side to the club with many eventsduring the year.
